Objective
Fulfill order release(s) in an external warehouse or equivalent.
Description
This process is external and is supported to the extent that WebSphere Commerce Accelerator can be used to view and print the pick ticket and pack slip for an order release. However, the pick-ticket and pack-slip XML are created in support of this process whether or not WebSphere Commerce Accelerator is used.
Input to the process is a pick ticket in XML format for the set of order releases, which is referred to as a "pick batch." A pack slip in XML form for each order release is also input. The pick ticket is used to for picking inventory that will be packed and shipped. Each pack slip is shipped with the package(s) associated with the order release.
