Objective
To find a product in a fast, easy, and flexible way.
Description
A customer can find a product of interest in the store's catalog using many different methods. Refer to the features list for details. If an item is not found by the customer, they can restart the process.
Features
A customer may choose to find products by:
- Browsing the store catalog, adding any product into the shopping cart.
- Searching the store catalog using various search criteria.
- Selecting products from promotional emails.
- Selecting products from the results of campaign initiatives as displayed through e-Marketing Spots.
- Selecting products from associated products. All associated products are displayed on the product pages.
- Selecting products from the requisition list.
Customization
These features may be enabled or disabled by using the Change Flow notebook in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

Tasks
Task Description Role Enter search criteria A CSR chooses which key information that will be used to find a customer profile, enters key information about a customer in order to determine if a customer profile has already been entered into the system.
Customer Select a requisition list The customer select a requisition list from a list of existing requisition lists.
Registered Customer Select advertised product The customer clicks on the advertised product; the product page displays.
Customer Select attributes If the product has one or more attribute, the customer can choose values for the attributes. Once the attributes are specified, the page that contains the matching product item displays.
Customer Select item An item is a product that has a SKU. The customer selects an item by clicking on the link to the item information page.
Registered Customer Select product The customer clicks on a product link, and the product information displays. The customer may be able to specify product attributes on this page.
Customer Select product from search result The returned search results contain links to the matching products. A customer clicks on one of the links, and the information of the linked product displays.
Customer Select product in the e-mail The customer clicks on a link or image of the product; the product page displays.
Customer Select store category A customer selects one of the many store categories available on the site.
Customer Select subcategory The customer clicks on a category link, and the page that contains all of the subcategories or products displays.
Customer Select suggested product The customer clicks on the advertised product; the product page displays.
