Process: Create expected inventory record

Objective
Record information about future inventory receipts and make such information available for backorder processing, where an available date for shipment can be determined based on the date the inventory will be received.
Description
This process takes a vendor (supplier) and a vendor order containing the information required to create an expected-inventory record. The input is the following:
- Fulfillment center
- Expected data
- Quantity
- Part number (item specification)
- Comments
Expected inventory allows the tracking of inventory that has been ordered as well as what has and has not arrived. Expected inventory is used in the calculation of expected ship dates and can be used for tracking costs of goods sold as well as in the calculation of when goods should be reordered.
