Migrate WebSphere Commerce Developer

Migrating your development environment can be done using the command line.

The following migration steps follow migration using the command line and due to their complexity, are for advanced users only. IBM recommends to use the WebSphere Commerce Migration Guide to perform your migration. The migration guide will guide you through the end to end migration process using a graphical user interface, the WebSphere Commerce Migration wizard, developed to simplify the migration process and reduce the probability of errors.

To migrate WebSphere Commerce Developer:

  1. Perform all premigration steps, and meet all prerequisite requirements contained in the WebSphere Commerce Migration Guide.

  2. Back up the WebSphere Commerce development environment assets. See the WebSphere Commerce Migration Guide.

  3. Upgrade the system software. See the WebSphere Commerce Migration Guide.

  4. Reconfigure the development environment database. See the WebSphere Commerce Migration Guide.

  5. Migrate the development environment database.

  7. Review the log file.
