Troubleshoot: Port conflicts during the installation of WebSphere Commerce

A message about port conflicts is logged during the installation of WebSphere Commerce.

 

Problem

The WebSphere Commerce installation reports a warning similar to the following message:

The following ports are currently used by another application:
8001, 1099.
WebSphere Commerce requires that these ports are free for
installation. Ensure 
that these ports are available and restart the installation.

 

Solution

If you encounter this error, verify that the ports listed are not in use. If the ports are not in use, you can safely ignore this error and continue with the installation.
