Work with forum topics

Edit, move, or delete forum topics, and mark topic content as inappropriate.

The change we can make to a stand-alone forum topic depend on the role and whether you created the topic. Only forum owners and topic authors can edit, move, and delete forum topics. The Forums administrator can work with all content in the Forums application.

Anyone with access to a forum can mark content in that forum as inappropriate.

In a community forum, any member of the community can reply to a forum topic or flag a forum topic as inappropriate. Only topic authors and community owners can edit, move, and delete community forum topics and topic responses.

• Edit forum topics
  Edit a topic to change the content, update the title of the topic, or attach a file to the topic.

• Move forum topics
  We can move a topic to a different forum if the target forum is a more appropriate venue for the topic. When you move a topic to another forum, any responses to the topic are also moved to the new forum.

• Delete forum topics
  Delete topics that are irrelevant or containing inappropriate content.

• Delete responses to forum topics
  If we change the mind about a response that you posted to a forum topic, we can delete it.

• Flagging forum content as inappropriate
  If a forum contains content that might be considered inappropriate, flag the content to alert the forum moderator. Any Forums user can flag forum content as inappropriate.
