Reviewing the search results
Use the options available for filtering the search results to find the information that interests you most.
When you search the content within a community, the results are returned to you in a tabbed view, with each tab corresponding to an application in the community. The order of the tabs corresponds to the order in which the applications are displayed in the community. This means that if you have prioritized a certain application by placing it first on the community page, the search results for that application are also prioritized in the search results tabbed view.
If wer community contains linked libraries, content from those libraries is only searched if the administrator has enabled it. When linked library search is enabled for Communities, an additional Linked Library tab displays with the search results from linked libraries. Search results from linked libraries do not display in the All Connections Content tab.
Review the search results by doing the following.
- Click the title of one of the results to open it and review it in more detail.
- Click a tab to display the results from a specific application. For example, if the community has a blog and you're particularly interested in finding relevant blog entries, click Blog to display the results from the community blog.
- Use the Sort by options to sort the results by relevance or date.
