Roll back a migration
If a migration fails, we can roll back the environment to the previous one.
Ensure you have a back-up copy of the installation environment.
Rolling back the Connections environment ensures you have a clean environment before attempting the migration again.
To roll back the Connections environment:
- Restore the databases from the backup made. Use your native database tools.
- Restore the Connections install directory from the backup.
- Restore the WAS profile directory, and the profileRegistry.xml file from the back-up.
- Restore the WAS DMGR_PROFILE: profile_root/Dmgr01. For example: D:\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\dmgr.
- if we are performing migration on the same system as your 4.0 deployment, restore the Installation Manager data directory from the backup.
