WAS v8.5 > Install and configuring the application serving environmentInstall the Liberty profile
For all supported platforms, we can install the Liberty profile environment using the Installation Manager.
For distributed platforms and IBM i, we can install the environment by executing a JAR file.
For Windows, Linux, and Mac OS, we can also install the environment using the Eclipse-based Liberty profile developer tools.
The Liberty profile environment can be downloaded and installed from...
- WASdev community downloads page
- Installation Manager
We can install the Liberty profile on its own, or (more typically) we can install the WebSphere Application Server Developer Tools for Eclipse then use the tools to install the Liberty profile.
