Environment entries settings

Use this page to configure arbitrary name-value pairs of data, where the name is an environment entry key and the value is a string value that can be used to set internal system configuration environment entries. Defining a new environment entry enables you to configure a setting beyond that which is available in the console.

To view this page, in the console click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server_name. Under Server Infrastructure, click Java and process management > Environment entries. Then do one of the following:

Name

Name (or key) for the environment entry.

Each environment entry name must be unique. If the same name is used for multiple environment entries, the value specified for the first environment entry that has that name is used.

Do not start an environment entry name with was. because this prefix is reserved for environment entries that are predefined in WebSphere Application Server.
