Configure a shared library for the jt400.jar file

Use the WAS console to create a shared library for the jt400.jar file.

If we copied the jt400.jar file to a different directory, completing the steps in this topic is part of configuring the Enterprise Identity Mapping (EIM) token connection factory.

1. Create a shared library:

   1. In the WAS administrative console, expand Environment.

   2. Click Shared Libraries.

   3. Click to expand the Scope field.

   4. Select the node where to create the shared library.

   5. Click Apply.

   6. Click New.

   7. Specify the name of the shared library in the Name field.

   8. Specify the full path name of the jt400.jar file in the Classpath field. The default path name is /QIBM/ProdData/HTTP/public/jt400/lib/jt400.jar.

   9. Click OK.

2. Create an application class loader for the shared library. This step makes the jt400.jar file available to all applications that are deployed on the application server.

   1. In the WAS administrative console, click Servers > Application servers > server_name.

   2. Under the Server Infrastructure heading, click Java and Process Management > Class loader > New.

   3. Keep the Class loader order default as Classes loaded with parent class loader first and click OK.

   4. Click the Class loader ID for the class loader that was created.

   5. Under Additional properties, click Shared library references.

   6. Click Add.

   7. Select the name of the shared library created earlier.

   8. Click OK.

3. Grant the java.security.AllPermission permission to the jt400.jar file in the server.policy file.

   To grant the required permission to the jt400.jar file, edit the server.policy file for the WAS profile and add the following statement. The server.policy file is in the profile_root/properties directory.

   grant codeBase "file:path_name/jt400.jar" {
     permission java.security.AllPermission;
   };

   where path_name is the fully qualified path name of the directory containing the jt400.jar file. The default path name is /QIBM/ProdData/HTTP/public/jt400/lib/jt400.jar.

4. Save the configuration changes.

   1. Expand System administration and click Save Changes to Master Repository.

   2. Click Save.

Results

The shared library for the jt400.jar file is configured.
