Delete server templates

The following steps describe how to delete a server template that you no longer need.

  1. (zos) Use the deleteServerTemplate wsadmin command.

  2. In the console, click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers, and then click Templates.

    We can also use the deleteServerTemplate wsadmin command to delete server templates.

  3. Select the template to delete, and click Delete.


Results

The template you chose is removed from the list and cannot be used to create a new application server.


What to do next

We can perform one of the following actions to display a list of the server templates that are still available on the system:

  1. In the console, click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers, and then click Templates.

  2. Issue the listServerTemplates wsadmin command.
