Change the location of temporary configuration files

We can change the default directory where temporary configuration files are stored.

The configuration repository uses copies of configuration files and temporary files while processing repository requests. It also uses a backup directory while managing the configuration. We can change the default locations of these files from the configuration directory to a directory of the choice by using the console.

The default location for the configuration temporary directory is profile_root/config/temp. Use the console to change the location of the temporary repository file location for all types of server processes. For example, to change the setting for Application Server, do the following steps:

  1. Click Servers > Application servers in the navigation tree of the console. Then, click server name > Administration > Administration services > Repository service > Custom properties.

  2. On the Properties page, click New.

  3. On the settings page for a property, define a property for the temporary file location. The key for this property is was.repository.temp. The value is the full path name to the desired location.

  4. Click OK.
