Overview

An appserver configuration provides settings that control how an appserver provides services for running applications and their components. to perform one or more of the following tasks.

Other then creating appservers, these tasks can be performed in any order.

 

Procedure

  1. Create an appserver.

  2. Create clusters for workload balancing.

  3. Configure transport chains to handle client requests.

  4. Develop custom services.

  5. Define processes for the appserver.

  6. Configure the Java virtual machine.

 

Results

Any new appservers you create appear in the list of servers on the console Application servers page.
