This section provides information on how to create customization definitions for creating or augmenting WebSphere for z/OS runtime environments.
Customizing your network deployment environment
WebSphere Extended Deployment V6.1 offers three components: Compute Grid, Operations Optimization, and Data Grid. You can customize an existing WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 6.1 environment with any combination of these components. It is recommended that you begin with Compute Grid, then evaluate whether we need either of the two other components in the future. To add the Compute Grid component:
- Generate and run Compute Grid customization jobs for the deployment manager node
- Generate and run Compute Grid customization jobs for each application server (managed) node in the deployment manager cell.
