Migrate WebSphere Portal Configurations
There are two options to choose from when migrating the WebSphere Portal configurations. We can run the migration tasks from a command line or we can automatically run the tasks using the migration wizard. Choose one of the following migration options:
Ensure that you performed the Preparing to run the migration tasks steps before choosing the migration option.
- Follow the steps in the Using command line scripts section to run the migration tasks from the command line.
If any of the following conditions apply, choose the Using command line scripts option to migrate the WebSphere Portal configurations:
- Our previous version of WebSphere Portal is running on a different machine than the current version
- Our environment has no graphical interface
- Follow the steps in the Using the migration wizard sections to automatically perform the export and import tasks.
