Add cluster members
After you have created the cluster, we can add additional cluster members to perform workload management and improve the availability of your applications. We can add horizontal cluster members on different machines or vertical cluster members on the same machine.
- Add horizontal cluster members
If you have installed WebSphere Portal on a secondary node, we can add the node as a horizontal cluster member to distribute a portion of the workload in the cluster to the secondary node.
- Add vertical cluster members
Add vertical cluster members to share the workload demands of the cluster across multiple members running on the same physical machine.
