Checklist of tasks: IBM Lotus Sametime server and portlets
Configuring the Lotus Sametime server and Sametime portlets requires a set of tasks performed on both the Lotus Sametime server and the portal server.
This topic lists the required procedures for configuring the following three portlets to work with both the Lotus Sametime server and the portal server:
- Sametime Contact List
- Lotus Web Conferencing
- Who Is Here
Perform all the procedures in the following list to configure these portlets. Unless otherwise noted, all the procedures are required for all portlets.
Checklist of tasks
- Configuring the WebSphere Portal server to recognize Lotus Sametime
You run the IBM Lotus Sametime configuration task on the IBM WebSphere Portal server. Running the task allows the portal to recognize the presence of the Lotus Sametime server so that Lotus Collaborative Services can use the server for the Sametime portlets.
- Configuring trust for the Sametime Contact List portlet
To use the Sametime Contact List portlet, you configure the IBM Lotus Sametime server so that it will trust the Lotus Sametime server application running on the IBM WebSphere Portal server, as well as trust any additional Domino and Extended Product servers within the site.
- Configuring the Lotus Web Conferencing portlet to create and search for meetings on the Lotus Sametime server
You enter values for several parameters in the portlet to specify the IBM Lotus Sametime server it points to, and to enable the portlet to create and search for Lotus Sametime meetings.
- Configuring Lotus Sametime people awareness for users of the Mozilla browser
The STLinks applet provides people awareness in all the Domino and Extended Products Portlets. For users of the Mozilla browser, the STLinks applet must be the version installed by default on the IBM Lotus Sametime server. To configure the applet properly for Mozilla, you copy files from the Lotus Sametime server to the portal server.
