Overview

A Lotus QuickPlace server is a IBM Lotus Domino server that has the Lotus QuickPlace server software installed and set up on it.

In WebSphere Portal 6.0, Lotus QuickPlace release 7.0 is the latest supported release.

Complete the following before beginning Portal integration...

  1. Install a Lotus Domino server and a Lotus Domino Administrator client.
  2. Install Lotus QuickPlace server.
  3. Set up Lotus QuickPlace server.
  4. Plan for collaborative servers and portlets

The IBM WebSphere Portal license authorizes you to install Domino Directory solely and exclusively in connection with use of Lotus Sametime and Lotus QuickPlace.

Lotus QuickPlace server software installation on i5/OS Before starting Set up the LDAP directory that Lotus QuickPlace will use prior to installing Lotus QuickPlace. This includes setting up the required users and groups. Lotus Domino Directory is recommended for the LDAP service.

The Lotus QuickPlace server requires a dedicated IP address on the i5/OS system.
