Set up alerts
This topic lists the steps we need to take to set up alerts for a project. Setting up the sample application automatically sets up alerts for the project. Follow these steps to configure alerts for a project of your own.
- Create and deploy a WebSphere Portlet Factory project.
The following feature sets must be among those you select for the project: Dojo Ajax
- Dojo Extension
WebSphere Dashboard Framework
- Alerts Module
- Dashboard Framework
To learn about alerts and explore samples, you may also want to include the Alerts Module Examples feature set.
- Create a project for the Alerts Scheduler feature set.
- Select and configure a persistence manager.
- If you selected a database persistence manager, set up the database.
- Override default configuration properties.
- Configure notifications and logging for alerts.
- Configure pages to launch as portlets on the server.
- Create alert definitions using the Manage Alerts portlet.
- Test your configuration settings.
