Creating one definition on the WebSphere MQ client and the other on the server

On all platforms, we can use WebSphere MQ Script (MQSC) commands, programmable command format (PCF) commands, or the WebSphere MQ Explorer to define a server-connection channel on the server machine. On z/OS we can also use the Operation and Control panels and on i5/OS we can also use the panel interface. Because MQSC commands are not available on a machine where WebSphere MQ has been installed as a WebSphere MQ client only, use different ways of defining a client-connection channel on the client machine.
