Windows and WebSphere MQ for Linux (x86 platform) systems
If you use WebSphere MQ for Windows, configuration information is stored in the Windows Registry. Use the WebSphere MQ Explorer (see Changing configuration information on Windows systems) or the amqmdain command (see amqmdain (WebSphere MQ services control)) to make changes to the Registry.
If you use WebSphere MQ for Linux (x86 platform), configuration information is stored in configuration files. You can use the WebSphere MQ Explorer (see Changing configuration information on Windows systems).
