Configure a WebSphere MQ Server

 

After installing WebSphere MQ, it is necessary to configure it. The configuration described in this chapter is for an environment that uses TCP/IP. The configuration procedure is the same for environments that use other communications protocols (for example, SNA, SPX, or NetBIOS). However, not all of the functions and facilities of WebSphere MQ for Windows are available in these environments. The items that are not available are:

• WebSphere MQ MQI Postcard
• WebSphere MQ JMS Postcard
• WebSphere MQ Explorer
