Inline Team Workplaces V5.1


The Inline Team Workplaces (formerly Inline QuickPlace) V5.1 portlet allows the user to display and use a Team Workplace within the portlet without launching a separate browser window.

Using the Inline Team Workplaces portlet

The Inline Team Workplaces portlet displays information from a source Notes database on a Domino server.

 

Test assumptions

The Inline Team Workplaces portlet has been tested on and is compatible with all supported WebSphere Portal platforms, as listed in Supported hardware and software.

 

Portlet security

A user must have the appropriate access to the Domino server that has been set up for use with Lotus Collaborative Services. The portlet also requires that Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled in the portal.

 

Set up the Inline Team Workplaces portlet

Before you install Inline Team Workplaces, make sure your WebSphere Portal environment meets the following client and server requirements.

Server requirements

The Inline Team Workplaces portlet displays information from a Domino back-end server that is configured to work with Collaborative Services in the portal and that is running Lotus Team Workplace.

The portlet is compatible with the following versions of Domino:

  • 6.5.1, 6.5.2, and 6.5.3
  • 5.012

The portlet is compatible with the following versions of Lotus Team Workplace (previously known as QuickPlace):

  • 6.5.1
  • 3.0 and 3.0.1 (3.0.1 requires Domino 5.0.12)

As portal administrator, configure the Lotus Team Workplace back-end server after the installation of Collaborative Services, if the server is not already configured. Deployment/Installation

The Inline Team Workplaces portlet is provided by the portlet application quickplace2.war.

Note: This portlet is not supported as a remote WSRP service.

This is the network address of the source Team Workplaces database on the Domino server. It should be a combination of the values for QPServer, QPName, and QPComponent.

The value specifies the width of the portlet when displayed in view mode.
