Overview

The Common Calendar portlet is used to surface Notes calendars. The Common Calendar and Common Mail portlets are known together as the Common PIM (Personal Information Management) portlets, which are found on the My Work WebSphere Portal page.

This Common Calendar portlet requires administrators to use configure mode to specify the default calendar server for users. Configure mode contains an option to allow or prevent users from changing the calendar server in edit mode.

Configure mode also requires that administrators specify a Credential Vault slot to store user credentials for authentication, and it contains an option to enable or disable single sign-on (SSO) for the portlet.

Test assumptions

This portlet assumes the Domino server has been configured according to its specifications and that WebSphere Portal and Domino have been configured to work together. Additionally, this portlet assumes that the lookaside property is set to true (rather than the default value of false) when you configure WebSphere Portal to work with the Domino LDAP server.
