z/OS Installation Process
To run on z/OS, Web Content Management requires IBM WebSphere Portal Enable for z/OS V5.1.0.1 . WebSphere Portal Enable for z/OS must be installed prior to installing Web Content Management. Refer to the WebSphere Enable Portal for z/OS Information Center for details on how to install WebSphere Enable Portal for z/OS.
Once WebSphere Enable Portal for z/OS has been installed, the WebSphere Portal Customization Dialog is used to install and configure Web Content Management.
z/OS customization dialog options
To install Web Content Management on z/OS:
- Start the Customization Dialog
- In the Portal configuration panel, select Application configuration tasks.
- Select Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management .
- Select Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management for your portal.
- The following options available:
Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management to use Cloudscape. Select this option to install IBM Workplace Web Content Management into a WebSphere base appserver node, or the primary node of a WebSphere network deployment cell, using a Cloudscape database. Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management to use DB2 for z/OS Select this option to install IBM Workplace Web Content Management into a WebSphere base appserver node, or the primary node of a WebSphere network deployment cell, using a DB2 for z/OS database. Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management to transfer its data This option is used to transfer data from a Cloudscape data repository to a DB2 for z/OS data repository. This can only be used after running the "Configure IBM Workplace Web Content Management to use Cloudscape" option. Configure Lotus Workplace Web Content Management into a WebSphere network deployment cell Use this option when installing a portal into the secondary node during the installation into a network deployment cell. configure IBM Workplace Web Content Management to use Cloudscape or DB2 for z/OS before running this option. Enable Lotus Workplace Web Content Management clustering support Use this option when installing a portal into the secondary node during the installation into a network deployment cell and you want to enable cluster support for Lotus Workplace Web Content Management. configure IBM Workplace Web Content Management to use Cloudscape or DB2 for z/OS before running this option. Deploy Authoring Portlets. Select this option to deploy the Web Content Management Authoring and Local Rendering Portlets. configure IBM Workplace Web Content Management to use Cloudscape or DB2 for z/OS before deploying the Web Content Management portlets.
