Moving Site Areas

Use the Move To button to change the position of a Site Area in the Site Framework:

  1. Open the Authoring Portlet (Web Content Authoring)
  2. Go to Site Management and then click on Site Framework in the Item Views Navigator (located on the left pane of the Authoring Portlet (Web Content Authoring)).
  3. A list of Sites and Site Areas is displayed in the Item Views Menu Clicking on a Site or Site Area displays a list of child Site Areas in the Item Index. Select the Site Areas you would like to reposition in the Item Index then click the Move To button from the Button Bar
  4. The Move To dialogue box will open.
  5. Navigate through the list of Sites and Site Areas from the Tree in the left-hand pane of the dialog and then select the Site or Site Area you would like to move the Site Area to from the index.
  6. Click OK

Note:

  • have Read access to a Site Area to use the Move To button.
  • When you reposition a Parent Site Area, any Child Site Areas and related Content are also moved.
