Create New Content
Overview
- Go to...
Web Content Authoring | Content Library | New- Choose the Authoring Template you would like to base the Content on.
- Choose the Site Areas you would like to link the Content to.
- Select "Start" to add the new Content item as the first listed Content item within the Site Area, or "End" to add it at the end of the listed Content items.
- Click OK
- Complete the Content item form. Click Save.
Components can only be viewed and tested when viewed within a Content item.
WCM technology comes with a set of enhancements to Dreamweaver. This allows you to build Presentation Templates and WCM components in HTML and then upload them into the Web Content Authoring.
When choosing a Site Area, ensure that the Site Area you choose has a valid Template-Presentation Template relationship existing with the Template chosen in the previous step.
When previewing Content that is linked to more than one Site or Site Area, a dialogue will open allowing you to choose which view you wish to preview.
When previewing a page, you are viewing the page as the User you are logged into the Web Content Authoring as. To preview a Page as a User with a different level of access than your own, such as Anonymous, open another browser session and preview the site as Anonymous.
