WebSphere system HA level 2

For WebSphere system HA level 2, as shown in Figure 8-4, the database host is separated from the WebSphere servers. If the database host fails, WebSphere still can service static and cached contents. Again, you can create clusters of WASs.

Single points of failure include the firewall, HTTP server, appserver (if not clustered), administrative servers (Node Agent and Deployment Manager), JMS server, database server and data, and network.
