Configuring the queues

Within WAS, the queues are represented as pooled resources, for example thread pools or database connection pools. Pool settings determine the maximum concurrency level of a resource. This section describes how the different queues are represented in WebSphere and their settings.

As the queues are most easily tuned from the inside out of the WAS environment, this section describes the queue properties in this order (looking at the components from right to left in Figure 19-5).
