Configure MQ JMS connection pooling

Use this task to configure properties of MQ JMS connection pooling.

To enable MQ JMS connection pooling, complete the following steps:

 

1. Start the WebSphere Administrative console.

2. In the navigation pane, select Servers-> Application Servers-> your_app_server This displays the properties of the appserver, your_app_server, in the content pane.

3. In the Additional Properties table, select Message Listener Service properties This displays the Message Listener Service properties in the content pane.

4. Select Custom Properties, then add the following properties:

    

   mqjms.pooling.threshold

   The maximum number of unused connections in the pool.

    

   mqjms.pooling.timeout

   The timeout in milliseconds for unused connections in the pool.

5. Click OK.

6. To save your configuration, click Save on the task bar of the administrative console window.

7. (Optional)  
   To have the changed configuration take effect, stop then restart the appserver.
