The administrative console
The administrative console is a Web-based tool that used to manage IBM WAS, as well as the Network Deployment product.For the Network Deployment product, use the administrative console that belongs to the dmgr process, started with startmanager.sh.
The administrative console is generally available via a Web browser at:
http://hostname:9090/adminUnless you have enabled security, any user ID and password should let you in.
One can start servers using the console. Note however that if the server needs to be started with non-default parameters, for example with trace turned on, it is best to use a command-line script.
