Dragging links into Web pages
An easy way to add links to a Web page is by dragging resources into a file that is open in the Design or Source page.
In some cases you might want to create a link to a file that exists outside your project. The destination file is copied to your local project directory by default (with the exception of HTML and JSP files). You can change this default by clicking
Window | Preferences | Web | Page Design | Links.
To add links by dragging and dropping:
- In the Enterprise Explorer view, click a file and drag it over a Web page you have open in the Design, Split or Source page.
- Drop the file on the Web page where you want to create a link.
- In the window that opens, click an insertion method and click OK.
- If you want to change the link text, click and drag the mouse pointer over the text you want to change and type the new text. You can also create links by dragging and dropping files from the file system and the Thumbnails view.
