Indenting and aligning text and images
You might need to indent text on your Web pages to make the text easier to read. Text and images are aligned to the left by default. If you wish, you can center or right justify them on the page or frame. When they are viewed with a Web browser, they are always aligned to the specified position, regardless of the size of the Web browser window.
- To indent paragraphs:
- Move the cursor onto the paragraph whose text you want to indent.
- In the Properties view, click the
Text tab. In the Format group, click the
Increase indent or
Decrease Indent icon.
- From the main menu, select
Format | Indent | Increase. To decrease an indention, select
Format | Indent | Decrease.
- To align images or text:
- Select the paragraph or image that you want to align and do one of the following:
- In the Properties view, click the
Text tab. In the Format group, click the
Align Left,
Align Horizontal Center, or
Align Right icon..
- From the main menu select
Format | Align | Horizontal Center or
Format | Align | Right.
- You can also choose a position for text from top to bottom, by doing one of the following:using the Format menu and choosing
Top and
Bottom.
- In the Properties view, click the
Text tab. In the Format group, click the
Align Top,
Align Vertical Center, or
Align Bottom icon..
- From the main menu select
Format | Align | Top ,
Format | Align | Vertical Center or
Format
Align
Bottom.
Tip: To align text around an image, select the image, then in the Properties view, select the Image Layout tab, and specify the alignment option.
