Creating and editing horizontal rules

You can add horizontal rules to break up your Web pages.

To create a horizontal rule, complete the following steps:

  1. Move the cursor to the position where you want to insert a horizontal rule.

  2. Select

Insert | Horizontal Rule to insert the horizontal rule at the cursor position.

Tip: You can also drag and drop a horizontal rule from the

HTML Tags drawer of the palette.

  3. To change the thickness or width of a horizontal rule, select it, and then, in the Properties view, update the alignment, thickness, width, and shading options. You can also change the thickness or width by dragging the horizontal rule vertically or horizontally. Note: you might have to clickEnter or click elsewhere in the editor to see the update.

  4. To delete a horizontal rule, select it and press the Delete key.
