Production deployment and clustering

Most of the clustering functionality and logic is handled by the MPF Operational Analytics. It is not necessary to do any additional work to cluster the application server that the MPF Operational Analytics is running on. The application servers are only necessary to host the MPF Operational Analytics and do not require special configuration for clustering.

Create an IBM MobileFirst Platform Operational Analytics cluster can be scoped down to the following steps:

1. Configure the master node or nodes.

2. Set the number of shards.

3. Set the number of replicas.

4. Add a node to the cluster.

5. Point the new node to the master node or nodes.

It is important to fully understand how the clustering works for the MPF Operational Analytics before you create the cluster.
