Create administration database (Optional)

To activate the option to install the administration database when we run the Ant tasks or the Server Configuration Tool, we must have certain database access rights that entitle us to create the databases, or the users, or both.

If we have sufficient database administration credentials, and if we enter the administrator user name and password when prompted, or use Ant files with dba tags, the installation tools can create the databases for us. Otherwise, we need to ask the database administrator to create the required database for us. In this case, the database must be created before we start the installation tools.

The create database procedures below are optional if you install MPF with the Server Configuration Tool or the Ant tasks. These tasks can create the databases automatically for us.

• Create the DB2 database for MobileFirst Server administration
  
• Create the MySQL database for MobileFirst Server administration
  
• Create the Oracle database for MobileFirst Server administration
