ChinitDispatchers (MQLONG)

This is the number of dispatchers to use for the channel initiator. The value must be 0 - 9999, with a default value of 5.

As a guideline, allow one dispatcher for 50 current channels. However, if we have only few channels, we do not have to decrease the value of this attribute from the default value. If you are using TCP/IP, the greatest number of dispatchers that are used for TCP/IP channels is 100, even if you specify a larger value here. We can use the following settings: test systems, 5 (the default); production systems, 20 (you need 20 dispatchers to handle up to 1000 active channels).

This attribute is supported on z/OS® only.

To determine the value of this attribute, use the MQIA_CHINIT_DISPATCHERS selector with the MQINQ call.
