WebSphere Application Server Heritage APIs 1.1
APIs from traditional WebSphere Application Server to aid in the migration of existing applications to Liberty. These APIs are only compatible with Java EE features and cannot be used with Jakarta EE features. Many of these APIs were created before specification standards and are no longer strategic. We discourage the use of these heritage APIs for new development and recommend that specification standards and modern programming models be used instead.
Enable this feature
To enable the WebSphere Application Server Heritage APIs 1.1 feature, add the following element declaration into server.xml, inside the featureManager element:
