Batch files for processing Profiles data

IBM® Connections provides several batch files that automate the collection and processing of LDAP data for the Profiles database.

Batch file functions

Note: The name of each batch file ends with the .sh suffix for the IBM AIX® and Linux™ operating systems and with the .bat suffix for the Microsoft™ Windows™ operating system.

The following list describes each batch file and its functions. You can search for more information about these files in the help topics.

Re: Batch files for processing Profiles data: ic301

I would highly recommend a separate document entry in this Wiki regarding the "process_ad_changes" script. This document should discuss:

1 - What it does?

2 - AD requirements (see this document in MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891995 - it discusses the Permissions that the ID used to look for updates needs to have access to another Container in AD.

3 - Refer to the Tivoli document regarding the type of Connector being used - here in the TDI Info Ctr - http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v2r1/topic/com.ibm.IBMDI.doc_7.0/referenceguide11.htm#adconnectv2.

4 - What variables need to be configured in the profiles_tdi.properties file.

Many customers are asking how this works with Active Directory in more detail. We should have AL documented in much more detailed way.

Thank you.
