Post-installation tasks

  1. Restart the WAS appserver to be used by the Managing Server.

  2. You may install a Web Server to provide the Visualization Engine.

    Not required. If a Web Server is not installed, the WAS HTTP Transport is used.

    If you have installed a Web server, configure it to forward requests to the Managing Server by regenerating the Web server plugin...

    1. Create a Web server definition.

    2. In the IBM WAS administrative console, select...

        Server | Web servers | Web server check box | Generate Plug-in

    3. Restart the Web server.

  3. If you performed a GUI installation and you did not select...

    • Launch the Managing Server
    • Launch the User Interface

    ...on the last step of the installation, start the Managing Server

    If you performed a silent installation or upgrade, start the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server. If you did not enable the option to start the Managing Server, start the Managing Server.

  4. Verify that the Managing Server components are enabled and running.

  5. If Terminal Services is enabled on Windows 2003 Server:

      change user /execute
