Work from the command line
When you cannot use the IBM Packaging Utility user interface, you can use Packaging Utility command line (pucl) to copy and delete packages. You can use pucl commands with either the installed version of Packaging Utility or the stand-alone version of Packaging Utility.
Install Packaging Utility
Install the Packaging Utility using one of the following methods:
- Run the installation command in the Packaging Utility installation files.
- Run IBM Installation Manager silent installation commands.
- Run the Installation Manager command line (imcl) installation command.
imcl install com.ibm.cic.packagingUtility -repositories source_repository -installationDirectory installation_directory [ -sharedResourcesDirectory shared_directory ] [ -preferences preference_key=value ] [ -keyring keyring_file -password password ] [ -acceptLicense ]- Create a response file.
If you do not want to install Packaging Utility, you can use the stand-alone version of Packaging Utility to copy and manage packages with pucl commands.
