Synchronizing monitor models with applications located outside the workspace

If you modify the monitoring information captured in one of the messages you are monitoring (for example, you change the application data included in your event or add a new event source), you can export the application monitoring information from WebSphere Integration Developer or WebSphere Message Broker again and synchronize these changes with the monitor model.

You must have exported the updated application monitoring information from WebSphere Integration Developer or WebSphere Message Broker.

WebSphere Integration Developer is the previous version of IBM Integration Designer, for versions 7.0 and earlier.

If you changed the application data that is added to an existing event source:

  1. In the Monitor Details Model page in the development toolkit, right-click the monitor model and select Synchronize with Application.

If updates are required, the wizard shows the changes that are being made and updates your monitor model.

If you added a new event source:

  1. In the Monitor Details Model page in the development toolkit, right-click the monitor model and select Synchronize with Application.

  2. When the wizard has finished, right-click the monitor model and select Update from Application.

  3. In the Choose What to Monitor window, select the new event source and then select the events that are to be included from the Monitoring Templates and Emitted Events tabs.

If you cannot synchronize, select Project > Build All from the menu and then try to synchronize again.
