Generate monitor models from WebSphere Message Broker message flows
You can generate a monitor model in the Business Monitor development toolkit that can monitor message flows from WebSphere Message Broker V7.0.
After you generate the monitor model, you can also iteratively develop the message flow with WebSphere Message Broker while developing the monitor model in the development toolkit. You can keep your monitor model synchronized with the message flow while both are being iteratively developed.
To monitor a message flow, first develop the message flow and export it from WebSphere Message Broker using the instructions for "Creating a monitoring model for use by Business Monitor" in the WebSphere Message Broker information center
- Generate monitor models based on application monitoring information from WebSphere Message Broker
After exporting the required application monitoring information from WebSphere Message Broker V7.0, you can use the information to generate a monitor model for monitoring the message flow.- Common monitoring templates for WebSphere Message Broker message flows
When you are generating or working with a monitor model based on a WebSphere Message Broker message flow, you can choose to apply one or more predefined common monitoring templates. These templates are collections of predefined monitoring constructs. After you select a template, the generated monitor model is automatically set up with the constructs that are required to capture the information.- Results of generating monitor models from WebSphere Message Broker applications
After you generate a monitor model based on application monitoring information from WebSphere Message Broker, the monitor model contains elements that correspond to the monitoring templates and inbound events that you selected. The Application element field shows the display name of the event source in the application that is linked to this monitoring context. If any of the elements in the monitoring context were generated from templates, the templates are shown in the table.
