IBM BPM, V8.0.1, All platforms > Install and configure IBM BPM > IBM BPM Advanced: Process Server > Install and configure IBM BPM Advanced: Process Server > On Windows > Network deployment environmentConfigure profiles and create an ND environment
After installing the product, create or augment a dmgr and one or more custom profiles to define the runtime environment. Before starting the dmgr, configure the databases to be used with IBM BPM.
- Create or augment ND profiles
If you used configureNode.sh to create and configure your deployment environment, no further configuration is required. Otherwise, create or augment a dmgr profile and one or more custom profiles before creating the deployment environment. Using profiles, you can have more than one runtime environment on a system, without having to install multiple copies of IBM BPM.
- Create an ND environment
After you have finished installation and created the dmgr and custom profiles, you can build an ND configuration. For each cell, you create a deployment manager profile and one or more custom (managed node) profiles. You can then create the deployment configuration that you want. You can configure the deployment environment using the deployment environment wizard, the command line, or the administrative console.Parent topic: Configure an ND environment on Windows
