Create or augment custom profiles

As part of the ND configuration, create or augment at least one custom profile. A custom profile contains an empty node that you must federate into a dmgr cell to make operational. Federating the custom profile changes it into a managed node.

• Create custom profiles using PMT
  

  You can create and federate custom profiles using PMT.

• Create custom profiles using manageprofiles.sh
  Instead of using PMT, you can use manageprofiles.sh to create custom profiles.
• Augmenting custom profiles using PMT
  

  If you have existing WebSphere Application Server V8.0 custom profiles, you can augment an existing profile using PMT to add support for IBM BPM.

• Augmenting custom profiles using manageprofiles.sh
  Instead of using PMT, you can use manageprofiles.sh to augment existing WebSphere Application Server V8.0 profiles.
• Federating custom nodes to the dmgr
  After creating a custom node, you can use the addNode command to federate the custom node into a dmgr cell. You can manage all federated nodes from the dmgr.
