Delete an external entity resolution entry

When you delete an external entity resolution entry, WebLogic Server no longer substitutes a local copy of the external entity when it is parsing an XML document and encounters a reference to the external entity.

To delete an external entity resolution entry:

1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).

2. In the left pane, expand Services and select XML Registries.

3. In the XML Registries table, select the name of the XML registry for which you want to delete an external entity resolution entry.

4. On the Settings for the XMLRegistryName page, select Contents > Entity Spec Entries.

5. In the XML Entity Spec Entries table, select the checkbox next to the name of the external entity resolution entry you want to delete.

6. Click Delete.

7. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

8. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
   Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
