Before you begin
Read the following sections in Securing WebLogic Server:
To set the user lockout attributes:
- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
- In the left pane select Security Realms.
- On the Summary of Security Realms page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm).
- On the Settings for Realm Name page select Configuration > User Lockout.
- Modify default values on this page.
If the number of invalid login attempts for a user account exceeds the value set for the Lockout Threshold attribute on this page, the user account becomes locked. Specify other attributes on this page to modify how the number of invalid login attempts is calculated. For information about unlocking the account, see Unlock user accounts.
- Click Save.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).After you finish
