In the Administration Console, you can manually shut down individual instances of a data source. When you shut down a data source, behavior depends on the type of shutdown that you select:
- Shutdown - which shuts down a data source that has a health state of Running. If any connections from the data source are currently in use, the Shutdown operation fails and the health state remains Running.
- Force Shutdown - which shuts down a data source that has a health state of Running, including forcing the disconnection of all current connection users.
To shut down a JDBC data source:
} } (document.images){ dcs_imgarray[dcs_ptr] = new Image; dcs_imgarray[dcs_ptr].src = dcs_src; WT[myMeta.name.substring(3)]=myMeta.content; } if DCSext[myMeta.name.substring(7)]=myMeta.content; } } } } for (N in DCS){P+=A( N, DCS[N]);} for (N in WT){P+=A( "WT."+N, WT[N]);} for (N in DCSext){P+=A( N, DCSext[N]);} //} aCrumb=aCookie[i].split("="); if (crumb==aCrumb[0]){ return aCrumb[1]; } } return null; } i=0;i
- Navigate to the data source that you want to shut down:
- Select the Control tab.
- On the Control page, select the instances of the data source that you want to suspend.
Date source instances are listed by the server on which they are deployed.
- Click the Shutdown button and select Shutdown or Force Shutdown.
- Click Yes to confirm the action.
Results are displayed at the top of the page, and the state of the selected data source instances is changed to
Shutdown.
