To map a WebLogic Server user to a remote user when configuring a JDBC data source:

- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
- Navigate to the data source that you want to modify:
- Select the Security: credential mapping tab.
- For each WebLogic Server user ID that you want to map to a database user ID:
- Click New to open the credential mapping Properties page.
- In WebLogic Server User, enter the WebLogic Server user name that you want to map to a database user ID.
- In Remote User, enter the database user ID.
- In Remote Password, enter the password for the database user ID.
- In Confirm Password, re-enter the password for the database user ID.
- Click OK.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
